What's the Wildcard Band?  One more band has the chance to make it into the Extra Cravings Club Battle of the Bands 3 finale!  The wildcard band that accumulates the most votes by 7/29 11:59 p.m. will automatically advance the the Extra Cravings Club Battle of the Bands 3 Finale at the Fine Line Cafe on August 6th to compete with the other top finalists! 

It's up to you to vote your favorite Wildcard band through to the final round!

Blood Root Mother Blood Root Mother believes strongly in the power of music. Our sound is an eclectic fusion of tribal rhythms, funky grooves, powerful vocals, and dynamic guitar textures ranging from ambient to metal. Fans describe our performances as hypnotic and seductive, and our music invites listeners to participate in the sonic dance. Rooted in the great bands throughout rock history, we seek to create genuine music that’s absorbed in the flow of the present moment, while surging forward into the spectacular mystery of our common future. For us, genuine music transcends stylistic limitations and boundaries, and happens when musicians and listeners are communicating with one another on the deepest level possible. As human beings, we live, we breathe, we give, we take, we love, we hate, we gain, we lose, we laugh, we cry, we move, and we die...and there is so much that we can choose. With the tragic loss of our guitarist, Tony Ellis, our band was transformed forever. He was more than a bandmate, he was like a brother to us all, and he will be forever missed. Nonetheless, as the old saying goes, everything changes, but nothing perishes. He continues to inspire us to make music, just as all the greats who have passed on still inspire us. Out of the ashes of this loss, our band is finding a new sense of purpose. Music is about more than a clever image and a few catchy radio hits, it is about sharing humanity and truly connecting with others. In this time of grief and transformation, music is all we have. Out of the ashes of tragedy, BRM is a rising phoenix. Only time will tell what form this phoenix will take, but we hope that you will come along with us on the journey.
